Welcome back sanity!

Hi there, Kiddies! I know that it has been awhile, but I have been awfully busy/tired. As I said before, I am working on a new project for work. This is requiring my brain be in use and I am apparently rusty with limited useage. Also, my family came to visit and left yesterday. I am finally feeling a little more relaxed (although I am very upset over the sudden onset of purple bags under my eyes). We bought a new car - pictures below. Right now, there is nothing on our plates for the near future, and I am really enjoying this. I really feel as though a weight has been lifted from my shoulders since yesterday morning. I am loving life again and enjoying my own little niche here in Chicagoland.

Olivia and Mia are doing well. Olivia is growing ever taller and has been invited to her first birthday party. The twins in her class are having a mani/pedi party and Olivia is excited to go. I'll let you all know how that turns out! Mia is slowly getting used to eating cereal. She was having a blast today banging on her high chair table and blowing cereal back at us. We broke down and bought a bumbo chair today and a cart cover since we have decided that it is time to put that carrier away.

Tony is well. He and I have switched our routines. Tony is now the evening/supper man and I am the morning/breakfast lady. We have had to switch to accomodate my longer commute to the new project for work. He is out on his motorcycle with Linas right now because the weather is beautiful and he is enjoying it!

My new car - a 2009 Dodge Journey SXT....Olivia. Need I say more? Like those funky white shoes? Olivia picked them out.Olivia posing for the camera. I couldn't get her to look normal. Oy...such a little picture princess.Olivia and Mia with Mia's new chair."Look Ma! I got socks that look like shoes!"Hi Mommy!"Whoa. This sunlight stuff is way bright!""Please. No pictures. I can't be seen like this."Peace, my brothas!"DADDY! Watch Out! That crazy flashy thing is back!!"That's right. I am totally cute. Eat it up, babe!

Work is work is work...

Hi to anyone that actually visits my blog. I don't think that there are many out there. It kinda makes me wonder why I do this. Then I remember, I LIKE writing this crazy blog. :-)

So....the busyness continues this week. I will be working in Wood Dale this week instead of Oak Brook Terrace. This will be interesting as this is a week of meetings from 8 to 6 daily. I think that I may be completely brain dead by the end of the week. Then, Grandma is coming to town with Aunt Kiki. So, I have taken Monday and Tuesday off to spend with the crazed southerners. Let's see if they show up in flip flops and hoodies for our 40 degree rainy/muddy weather.

Olivia, Mia, Tony, and Jory are doing well. Jory and Tony have been really helpful lately, above and beyond the norm. Tony and I have been car-shopping and have made a decision. We'll let you see the decision later. We received our new furniture yesterday. Yes, mom, they are solid colored chocolate brown. The couches look wonderful in our living room and even the curtains go with them. The couches are so comfortable that we have all fallen asleep on them at this point. Olivia has decided to grow her hair long again, but keep the bangs. She got them trimmed today. It's so nice to see her face again. Mia is over the ear infection, but keeps getting nasal congestion. I can't wait for summer so that her eczema has a chance to heal as well as this nutty congestion. We have directed Mia to make sure to throw up on Granny at least once, as well as to poop when Granny is holding her. We'll see how well she follows directions. :-)

Here are some pictures - your reward for reading this far. ;-)
This past week, Olivia's school was teaching the days of the week by having the teachers and kids dress differently every day. Friday was pajama day and Olivia went to school like this:
Our new couch! Our new love seat! Both together. We also got a chair and ottoman. Soooooo comfy!

For anyone....

Hi All! It's been a couple of weeks, but boy, have they been busy. Mia is doing well and has begun to roll over. We are working on her exzema, but, it's really hard to get her skin to not be dry. If she seems shiny in her pictures it's because of the vaseline or lotion that we are applying. Olivia is doing well. She needs her bangs trimmed, but is still little Miss O. Tony is good - he would say overworked and underappreciated. But we know that he is VERY APPRECIATED! Tony, I couldn't do any of this without you. We love you, babe!

We are embarking on a busy month. I am working on a new project at work. I'm a SME! That's a subject matter expert. Mom and Aunt Kiki are coming to visit in about 2 weeks. Tony is going to Atlanta the first week of April. We have Easter at our house and would like to go to the White Sox home opener if we can. Busy, busy, busy.....
My girls...
"Mia! What's that smell?"It's a bird! It's a plane! No really? What's up there, Mia?"Oh! There you are Mommy!""Hey! There's Daddy! Hi, Daddy!""I can't believe you dressed me like this! And then you have the nerve to take my picture?!""See Uncle DD. Acting isn't that hard. I can act like a sweet little girl any time I want."McMackles licking his chops after making sure that Layla knew he was above her.
