Our weekend...

So...I'm not getting lazy on you or anything, but have been busy with work, convincing Tony that we need a cleaning service, planning Olivia's birthday party, and learning how to get Tony to paint the house. I got tired of the procrastination and took Olivia to Menard's on Friday night. We picked out the color and border that we are using to decorate her play room. I then taped up the borders of the room, and Tony finally decided to caulk the windows as he has been talking about doing. Then I started painting. Tony was not happy with my painting abilities and came in to help me. This was while the girls were napping. When Mia woke up, I went to get her and take care of her. After I fed her, Tony was done with the first coat of paint. The playroom looks beautiful, but it's not done yet. I promise there will be before and after pictures for all to peruse. I was even complimented on my taping abilities! Yay me! Then, since I wanted to show my appreciation, I mowed the lawn for Tony. Yikes! It had been two rainy wet weeks and the grass looked like a field, blowing in the wind. The grass was wet, and I had to empty that stupid grass bag about 15 times - no exaggeration! It took two hours to mow the entire lawn! What a chore! Anywho, that pretty much sums up our weekend, other than the dresser shopping that we are in the midst of. Olivia has 4 cabinets from Ikea that she uses as a dresser right now. We are moving those to the playroom and we are looking for a dresser for her. See Jory, you're missing out on the fun! Ok....time for pictures....have a great week everyone!

Here I am - mowing the lawn. See? I have proof!
Olivia - posing for the camera as usual! She looked very cute in the jeans that she has learned to close all by herself!Sportin' my new haircut, color, and style.Mia - her new favorite pastime - chewing on her spoon. We went to a restaurant for lunch today and this was Mia's face.

Happy Mini-Birthday Mia....

Mia, today you are seven wonderful months old. You are now close to sitting up on your own. You roll around everywhere. You are very curious and like to grab anything within reach and put it in your mouth. You are eating baby food - and you LOVE IT! You seem hungry for the first time in your short life. You are very vocal and always excited to see us. You are a wonderful baby!

It's been awhile since our last post, and we are doing well. We are enjoying the lovely weather - spring as sprung in Chicagoland! Tomorrow, I am back at OBT which is DeVry Speak for our Home Office. Tony is enjoying his Altima. He installed his radar detector and seems to like the bigger engine. Oh....if anyone is interested in the Hyundai, it's for sale. Olivia is doing well. She is letting her hair grow long again. She had another birthday party yesterday and got to ride a horse. She was very excited! Jory is taking lifeguard lessons and is planning to be back in Mississippi in a couple of weeks. All in all, we are doing well. We hope that everyone is enjoying the spring weather and is hailing the advent of summer!
What's that you say? You want some pictures? Well, I am happy to oblige!
"Look Ma! I'm a White Sox Fan!"

"Mmmm....these White Sox taste good! Let's hope they play as good as they taste!""Mia? Mia, where are you?""Oh! I found you - over by the window, silly girl!""Look, Mom! This time, I found the movies.""I would like to watch Peter Pan and suck my thumb!""Hi Ma! I'm so glad you found me again!"It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Mia!"Mommy, all that flying wore me out. I'm gonna lay here and gather my strength.""Mommy, I'm so hungry I'm eating myself. Will you please feed me?"
"I'll smile nice for the camera if you feed me.""Me too, Mommy. I'm hungry. Mommy, I'm hungry."
