Find friends your own age...

Yes....that is what Jory says to Olivia when she asks if he will play with her. When he says no, she continues to ask (please?) or speak to him and demonstrate her awesome spelling skills. Right now, she is attempting to show Uncle JJ the hood on her shirt. Tony is feeding Mia and, I am (obviously) blogging. This week, we learned that I cannot go grocery shopping after work. There is not enough time, since Mia needs to eat at 6, and it puts too much stress on Mommy to try to get that done. Also, we had the temperature get into the low 40's, and drop back down to the single digits and below. Tony and I worked on the quilt we made for Mia. Tony is wonderful at measuring and cutting the fabric for me, as I do not have the patience for perfection that Tony does. Next, I am going to attempt to teach myself how to hem pants. Two pairs of my work pants have lost the hem in one leg and this (understandably) needs to be fixed. Next weekend is the SuperBowl and my family will be rooting for the Steelers. If anyone has a cool party planned, and need more guests, we'd be happy to oblige. :-)
"Daddy - what's with all the face fur?"

"No I am not a caterpillar and daddy is not a flower stem, even though most of his shirts are the same color as a flower stem."My studly husband in a flattering long sleeve shirt. The lighting is not good in the picture, just take my word for it - sexy, sexy. Rrrrggggellllleee.Apparently, we don't give Olivia enough walls and paper to draw on. "Yep, I'm cute. I charge 50 cents a look."In case you didn't know, Tony has purchased a motorcycle and this snazzy helmet to go with it."I don't know, Tony. Maybe a helmet for Olivia is a good idea. It could help her hard head when she walks into walls, or stands up while under the table."Mia's quilt. "Yo yo yo. Olivia in the hiz-ouse."

The after effects of Hurricane Olivia....

Today, we worked on the playroom. While I was pregnant, my wonderful husband and brother helped Olivia to clean her playroom. However, the organization that used to be present was thrown out the door and stuff was picked up and thrown wherever. Today, we cleaned, organized, fought, started baby proofing, cleaned laundry, watched the playoffs and cleaned the playroom some more.
The "before" pictures...

After I took these pics, I proceeded to dump everything out of the bins and containers onto the floor. Here are our "progress" pics...Next, we moved the bins and Olivia's art table up to her room so that anything that is not for Mia will be in Olivia's room. Now....here are the after pics......duh, duh, duuuuuhhhhh.....For those of you that have noticed that Olivia has decorated the walls herself....you're right. We have not stifled her creativity. However, the plan is to paint the walls, so this is not a permanent solution. For those of you who think your houses are dirty, take a look at Olivia's toy room and feel better about your own house.

Faces

This week has been kind of slow for us. The first full week back to work after the holidays. Mia is sleeping through the night, and eating enough to allow it. She is slowly growing into her 3-6 month clothes, slowly but surely. We did go to Olivia's winter program for school. Ironically, it was cancelled on December 20th because of bad weather, and rescheduled to January 10th. Then, we got tons of snow this weekend - not tons, really, but about 6-8 inches. Olivia and Tony are out shoveling right now.
In one day, we were lucky enough to get a picture of each of us, making faces for the camera.
Meet the Fierce Tony (Fee Fi Fo Fum and all that jazz)....

This is what happens when I am not the one taking pictures....Olivia in the midst of changing her photo pose.....Of course, McMackles pretending to be surprised, with predatory twist....And finally, Mia, when she is frustrated that her thumb is not easily finding it's way into her mouth....

Mia is 3 months old!

Mia, today you are officially three months old. Right now, you have your first cold. We are working on your eating and sleeping habits, as you don't eat much, nor do you nap well. Hopefully, once we can get one going, the other will fall into place. Anyway, here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks....
Mia, apparently bored with whatever we were doing.

Not so bored any longerActually, now you're entertained. Love that hair!Speaking of hair, hair's Olivia! (get it?)Mia, showcasing her crazy hair after a bath. It's a mini-bozo cut. Now, with pajamas as well. I don't get the crazy eyes, but, well....whatever.Uncle JJ needs to learn to hold me tighter, but I think it's funny anyway.I put Olivia to sleep. It's about time!Apparently, Daddy put me to sleep. Look, I take after him with my drooling habit!Happy (fake) Birthday, Mia!
