Mia in real life...

Sorry that this video is sideways - I'm learning. Anyway, this is Mia enjoying her toys and chattering at us as she loves to do. We had Easter at our house this year, once again. I made a greate ham and scalloped potatoes (thank you food network). We had a great time playing spades, guitar hero and rock band. We searched for Easter eggs and played outside. All in all a very good time.
Then, Olivia woke up in the night and complained that her ear hurt. I remembered that Mia had been tugging at her ear at the begining of this cold that she has. She's a regular snot machine right now. We went to the doctor and have two nasty ear infections in two left ears. So....how did I not know my girls were sick? This is how they have been acting - running, rolling, playing, laughing, smiling, sleeping and eating. Who's to know that they are sick? I should have picked up on the slight crabbiness and clinginess. Note to self: Clingy girls may be sick - caution.

Happy Easter to All!

It's a birthday week!

This week, we celebrated Tony's 29th birthday. He was in Atlanta on Thursday (his birthday), so we celebrated on Saturday, when he was back home. We found a bakery and bought some wonderful cupcakes. Happy Birthday, Tony!

Olivia had her first friend party this weekend. She got a manicure and a pedicure and had cake and gave Camryn and Jade, Hungry Hungry Hippos. Which Olivia now wants for her birthday. Our li'l diva is eating cereal very well. She almost finished a whole bowl today! Oh, I almost forgot. Happy 6-month birthday (on Friday) Mia!!Mia loves to stick her tongue out. She's like a little snake, constantly tasting the air. Sorry that the picture is out of focus.

29 Reasons that Tony rocks...

  1. He always tries to fix your troubles.
  2. He takes months and even years to make big decisions.
  3. He changes my oil and fixes my cars.
  4. He has gray hairs and I don't.
  5. He washes Olivia's hair.
  6. He buried the kittens when I couldn't and is probably the reason that he doesn't want to foster any more kittens.
  7. He cleans the cat litter.
  8. He kills spiders even though they creep him out too.
  9. He loves animals even though he says he doesn't.
  10. He laughs at me.
  11. He gets Olivia to smell his feet - then laughs at the faces she makes.
  12. He sticks up for me when Derrick or Jory try to beat on me.
  13. He watches movies and colors with Olivia. And he pushes her on the swing
  14. He cleans up cat vomit.
  15. He tries the new foods that I cook.
  16. He understands my family issues.
  17. He thinks it's funny when I trick him into changing poopy diapers.
  18. He loves babies, and they love him.
  19. He built Olivia's swingset and is going to paint the house and fix the floor for me.
  20. He re-sodded the lawn, by himself, picking up each piece of sod and putting it together better, after he thought the landscapers did a bad job.
  21. He paints my toe nails.
  22. He is very ticklish.
  23. He lets me play with my girls while he cleans.
  24. He thinks putting his clean clothes away means that he throws all of them on the floor of his closet.
  25. He sleeps on his side because I want to cuddle him, but I don't want to be cuddled.
  26. He rubs my back all the time.
  27. He knows some of the words to "Insane in the Brain."
  28. He is learning to like baseball.
  29. He knows all the words to every Lethal Weapon movie.

Happy Birthday my Love!!!
