A picture says 1000 words...
If so, with this post, I'm probably saying about 50,000 words! Good thing I only post once a month, if that. :-)

Have I told you that Mia is a big shot? She gave up on the high chair and now sits at the table.

We had a spectacular fall this year in Chicago. These are the trees right by our grocery store.
While Olivia is in dance class, Mia and I go to the park (weather permitting).

Tony took Mia all the way to the top of the hay playground.
Mia would not let us ride with her on the cow barrels. She screamed and screamed until we let her go alone. Did I mention that she's a big shot?
Mia made friends with the big boy next to her and after helping him fill his shirt with corn, decided to fill her own. Notice how they are sharing the same pose?
Can you guess how much corn we found in her diaper later?

Mia doesn't sit at the table to eat, she stands on her chair.

Again, stuffed herself into the corner of her crib for her last night in the crib.

Look! Mommy and daddy got their first bed frame. It only took 8 years of marriage to actually get a bed frame. Have I mentioned how long it takes us to make a decision?

Math is not my forte.....
We had a busy day today - Mia had her 2 year old check up! After the doctor, we went to pick up some things to ship out. While at the shipping store, Mia found a counter that she could pull out from the normal counter. You know, like an expandable table? So, she pulled it out. About 5 minutes later, she's running around and runs right into the table she had pulled out. KABOOM!! Down she goes! She bruised the heck out of the top of her nose, and may develop some eye bruising. My poor baby!
After this, it's lunchtime and we decide to go to Red Robin, because they have balloons. We go in there and sit down, and then Mia goes nuclear. She had a major meltdown and we took our food to go with us as we left Red Robin with the screaming child. She was happy to get into the car, fall asleep and sleep for the next 3 hours.
Apparently, taking one tired almost-2-year-old, adding in a nose bruise, and a restaurant with balloons is a recipe for disaster. :-)
Here's Uncle JJ with Mia and Olivia outside trying to garden.
Tony painted the living room and foyer. We have officially painted the entire downstairs. The color is sour patch peach. It's very light and lovely.

This is what happens when you combine a six-year-old with oreos and a clicking camera.
