Math is not my forte.....

We had a busy day today - Mia had her 2 year old check up! After the doctor, we went to pick up some things to ship out. While at the shipping store, Mia found a counter that she could pull out from the normal counter. You know, like an expandable table? So, she pulled it out. About 5 minutes later, she's running around and runs right into the table she had pulled out. KABOOM!! Down she goes! She bruised the heck out of the top of her nose, and may develop some eye bruising. My poor baby!

After this, it's lunchtime and we decide to go to Red Robin, because they have balloons. We go in there and sit down, and then Mia goes nuclear. She had a major meltdown and we took our food to go with us as we left Red Robin with the screaming child. She was happy to get into the car, fall asleep and sleep for the next 3 hours.

Apparently, taking one tired almost-2-year-old, adding in a nose bruise, and a restaurant with balloons is a recipe for disaster. :-)

Tony painted the living room and foyer. We have officially painted the entire downstairs. The color is sour patch peach. It's very light and lovely.

Jenny's Wedding...

Last night we drove all the way to Wisconsin - well, not quite, but almost. To see my lovely Jenny get married. However, once we arrived, my Mia had a two-year-old moment, and I only saw the wedding from afar. This means, no pictures at the altar. Boo.

Anyway, the wedding was beautiful - set at a tree farm, with a waterfall altar. Just gorgeous - as was the bride. Congratulations to Jenny and Jason - may you have a wonderful life filled with joy and love!

Kansas

Our annual trip to Kansas. We had a lot of fun. The drives were surprisingly relaxing. We went to dinner with Dad and Linda. We swam in the pool. Jumped on jump palaces. Saw LOTS of family. Cooked and chilled with Dad. All in all, a good trip!

This was when we took Jory out for his 21st birthday. The waitress went to feed him his first bite of cheesecake, and made sure to get it on his nose. And yes, that is Olivia eyeing the dessert.

Zoo...

We met Erica, Wally and Benjamin up at the zoo a couple of weeks ago. We hung out in the blisteringly hot weather parking our strollers, getting splashed by Dolphins, and fighting the requests to just play at the parks. Oh, the zoo used to be for seeing animals, back in my day. Yeah - I said it. I'm getting old!

SHARK!!

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Cody's 3oth birthday party. For those of you who don't know, Cody is Brandi's little brother. The party was at Brandi's house and was Shark themed in honor of Shark Week. 30 bites for 30 years. It was really hot and humid, which you can see in the pics. Not really, I cleaned the lens after this party and no longer have the softness.

There is a bit of a story with this one. Mia would meow down the stairs through the cat door. She caught the cat there on the other side of the door and just kept meowing at him until we captured her attention and the cat escaped.

So, what you don't see is that Lifeguard Olivia was presiding over a baby pool filled with ice, alcohol and sharks.
