Week 25...phew!

Oh my.  I'm caught up.  Let's see how long this lasts.

Thursday, June 19:
My softball game companion.  Eating pop tarts because the games are at diner time and this is an easy snack.

Friday, June 20:
On the dogs level.

Saturday, June 21:
Mia watering the plants.  Even though it rained like everyday for the 5 days prior, and most likely on this day too.  I was unable to deter her from watering the flowers, so, of course, I took pictures of this determined child.

Sunday, June 22:
It's a birthday party!!  And cosmic style to boot!

Monday, June 23:
This is my "please do not rain on me while I run" face.  Or, it could be construed as my humidity testing face.

And, softball.  Again.  After work.  My life.  Mine is the one in right center.

Tuesday, June 24:
No pictures because after a hectic day at work, I came home and made dinner.  Then started Lapinskas Family Fight Night as the girls refused to clean their playroom (Mia) or the poop in the backyard (Olivia).  TV privileges were lost, yelling happened, and eventually the chores were finished.  In the middle of all that, I mowed the lawn, being happy to listen to the mower instead of whining/crying/yelling/tantrum-y children.

Wednesday, June 25:
Mia laughing while I made funny faces at her.  Tonight was not a fight night.

Week 24!

Wow, you guys.  I really can't believe I've made it this far with these pictures.  Although, I need to actually write a real post again, but... busy.  You know.  I know you know.  Sometimes priorities have to shift.  Looking forward to a release of duties soon.

I've noticed that a whole lot of my pictures have something to do with my running.  Hmmmm.  I guess I've been running quite a bit.  Plus - I have this new app that lets me post pictures at the start/end of a run, and I get cheers from Facebook when someone likes my post.  It's nice to hear when you are running.

Thursday, June 12:
After my lunchtime run, I was hot.  So, I went outside to cool down with some water, and my companion (pictured) joined me, laying down in the grass and enjoying the warmth.

Friday, June 13:
It's a FACE OFF!!  Not really.  But, this is usually how I feel when taking selfies.  And a friend had posted an AWESOME picture of herself when running that I just had to try to mirror.

Saturday, June 14:
I mustache if you like this picture.  LOL!  These were party favors left over from Olivia's birthday party.

Sunday, June 15:
Apparently, when your parents move the chairs out of the dining room so that they can clean the floor, the natural reaction is to create a reading train.

Monday, June 16:
My softball companion.

Tuesday, June 17:
It's selfie Tuesday.  A Tara bathroom selfie, showcasing how badly I needed a haircut and a Mia selfie found on my phone.

Wednesday, June 18:
I got all dressed up, ready for a run.  Turned around and looked North, and this is what I saw.  Being averse to lightning, I decided to take my chances staying in instead.

Project 365, Week 23...

Seriously, we're halfway through June.  We've passed the halfway mark on the year.  Is it just me, or do you also want to just stop and hold onto this time for a bit?  I've been taking mental pictures of the gorgeous days to help my imagination this winter.  I need to prepare because I don't want to feel like I did last winter.

Although, this week had enough rainy/not so great days that a majority of the pictures were taken inside. :)

Thursday, June 5:
Olivia decided to ride her bike to the park.  She came running back in the house, "Mommy!  You have to come see this!"
"What? What is it?" I said, fearing someone was hurt.
"I found a bunny nest!  You have to come see it"

I decided not to come see it (busy making dinner or something), but I gave her my camera and had her take pictures.  This is one of the pictures from the 'bunny nest'.

In other short people news, this was bedtime attire.  Princess nightgown, princess sunglasses, and cheesing for the camera.

Friday, June 6:
At the girls day camp, they had a production of "Tammy Town".  It's a little set up town that a police officer sets up, then does a demonstration with the kids on safety.  We joined a little late, but Mia really liked the little bit she saw.  Plus, she drove a police car power wheels. Bonus.

Saturday, June 7:
This was a LONG.DAY.  It was dance recital day.  2 dance recitals, one softball game, both missing swim lessons, the whole day spent at recital.  Plus, Mia woke up with a cold/snot faucet and sneezed onstage.  She was rather upset, and trying to wipe it on her costume (on stage), and this happened just as she needed to lead the girls in a train while hold hands.  She didn't hold any one's hand, but the other girls were like, uh..what's going on?  It made for an interesting dance.

After recitals, and softball game, we went to dinner and I got this face.  We went home after this and were all in bed by about 7 pm.  Seriously.  It was a long 2 months of extreme activity culminating in this day.

Sunday, June 8:
I got up and decided to go for a run.  It had been about a week since my last run (read: BUSY), and it was a gorgeous day for a good run.

Monday, June 9:
Uh..
I guess I didn't take any pictures.

Tuesday, June 10:
Rainy day - just what this blog needed.  I pulled out the pictures, loaded them up and started editing.  Then, I noticed how few pictures had been taken lately, and got the girls to start posing.  Can you tell they have the same smile?

Wednesday, June 11:
Another rainy day, and another movie night, indoors.  With popsicles.

Project 365, Week 22...

Oh yeah!  The end is almost in sight!  Not really, but at least the end to this last wave of 'catch up' posts.  Seeing as how I'm so awesome at posting these on a timely basis, we'll have to really re-think doing this next year.  I may have to try something else.  I don't know.  I really like taking the pictures all the time, and of course, sharing them.  It's just that the kids are getting older, less willing to take a picture (Olivia), etc.  Although, I could probably get her to help take the pictures....ooooo...idea!

Ok.  Let's get on with this, shall we?

Thursday, May 29:
This was actually Olivia's 10th birthday.  She's made it to double digits, one year closer to the teens.  She's only about 6 inches shorter than me.  Is wearing just one size smaller than me in clothes and shoes.  She's in that fun stage of growing up, but not yet ready to give up all the kid stuff.

Olivia had a make-up softball game today.  When we go to Olivia's games, I spend my time watching this one as she runs around, talks to every person there, tries to go into the dugout - you know.  Anything to not sit still.  Mia got into the outdoor batting cages here.

Friday, May 30:
It was a week for 'make-ups', since we had a make-up dance class on Friday.  I got a rare picture of the two of them, smiling.  Blurry, but I'll take what I can get.

Saturday, May 31:
We had a little party to celebrate the 10 year old.  Decorated the house, made cupcakes.  Churro cupcakes (Pinterest win).  The picture of the blowing out of the candles was the best I could get.  She wouldn't wait for me and the camera.

Sunday, June 1:
Worn out from much 'goings-on', and running errands and doing laundry, add in a facial and 1.5 hour massage and my camera DID NOT come out today.

Monday, June 2:
Olivia's last day of dance class, and Mia wanted to go to the park.  I couldn't say no since we wouldn't have this chance again.  Olivia doesn't want to do dance anymore, so, Mia and I won't be waiting on her classes to be done any longer.

Tuesday, June 3:
Guilty.  It had been so long since doing a project 365 post, I started to forget to take pictures.  (insert shame face here)

Wednesday, June 4:
Mia's last dance class and she was so excited to have her hair in a ponytail, she posed and told me to take a picture.  Normally, we run from daycare to dance and change at the studio and I rarely think about her hair.  Since she was so excited, I think that will be changing now.

Project 365 Week 21...

I feel like I am in a constant state of "catch-up" lately.  Do you remember that joke from pulp fiction?

"Three tomatoes are walkin' down the street.
Papa Tomato, Mama Tomato and Baby Tomato.
Baby Tomato starts lagging behind, and Papa Tomato gets really angry.
Goes back and squishes him and says: "Ketchup."
Ketchup."

Yep, that's pretty much how I feel. Squishy ketchup.

Thursday, May 22:
A Pinterest win, these potatoes are so good we make them about once a week!  Just get some red or gold potatoes, cut them up, put them in a bowl with some olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and parsley flakes.  Mix this all together and throw them on a cookie sheet.  Bake at 425 for about an hour.  Super easy and so good you don't want to stop eating them.

Friday, May 23:
So, yeah.  This happened at work.  A possessed EZ CALC.  Taunting me.  Like, "We know you suck at math, Tara, so here's 700 EZ Calc windows for you.  RAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Later, since the day was so lovely, instead of leaving Mia to play at the window, we decided to go to the park.

Saturday, May 24:
Apparently, when you tell a 5 yo to clean her room, that translates to "Please take a nap, you sleepy girl."

Sunday, May 25:
Did you know that your cup holders in your car are perfectly sized to hold a bottle of wine? Well, now you do.

Monday, May 26:
Headed to the mall for a Memorial Day shopping excursion.

Tuesday, May 27:
Apparently, heading back to work on this Tuesday (a game night) left me feeling non-photographic.

Wednesday, May 28:
Can't you tell that she is absolutely thrilled to be at Mia's dance class?  She forgot her activity bag and basically stared at me until I gave her my phone.

Project 365 Week 20...

Yes, I know that technically, this is week 23.  And, yes, I am aware that I am behind.  I could give you excuses, such as having every waking moment scheduled lately with activities.  I could tell you that when I first got some free time, I was so overwhelmed with being so late on posting that I couldn't even open my computer.  I was so daunted by this task that instead I retreated to Netflix to start a new TV series since I am all caught up on Psych.

But, I'm sure that you don't want/need to hear all of that.

I did finally open my computer today, and begin the task of uploading, choosing and editing photos for the blog.  It's gonna take some time, so I might be playing catch up for awhile.  Hopefully, I'll get on top of this a little more and start talking about some of the things that are in my head - the "yesallwomen" campaign, do we need a cause?, weight loss and your head, how to find a therapist, and tips from a non-gardener on how to grow a beautiful garden.

Maybe.

Let's jump into some of these pictures from last month that are just dying to be shared!

Thursday, May 15:
Apparently, it was rainy on this Thursday (yeah, like I'm gonna remember now).  I do remember that I was attempting to practice my very non-existing photography skills and focus on the rain coming down the window.

Friday, May 16:
Yep. None available.  I'm guessing I was tired and that we had softball practice and I probably fell asleep by 7:30.

Saturday, May 17:
I really just like the light and shadow and black and white in this picture.

We actually had a date night!!!  We got a baby-sitter and everything.  And while Olivia was behind the lens, Mia felt it was her duty to be in front of the camera..with us...no matter what we said.

Somehow we convinced her to let us be alone in the picture.

A typical Mia outfit - pattern overload (stripes, floral, and hearts, oh my).

Sunday, May 18:
The big first game!  A beautiful day for my newbie softball player...

...and her punk-ass sister that is 5 and doesn't ever want to not be the center of attention.

Monday, May 19:
Dress rehearsal for Olivia's dance class.  A heartwarming car picture, seat belt and all.
P.s. We had it on backwards.  She really didn't look like Wilma Flintstone.

Tuesday, May 20:
Just a random Tuesday with a random Mia picture..

Wednesday, May 21:
Dress rehearsal for Mia while Olivia had a softball game.
