Seems like an easy enough endeavor, until of course, you throw in the drive times, a baby that is not eating table food and has to eat on schedule and the lovely Chicago weather! This past weekend we had a blast! We helped Lisa move into her new apartment (which I LOVE!). We also pulled out the sprinkler for water fun, went shopping for party favors for Olivia's party and went to the zoo. For you Chicagoans, we went to Lincoln Park Zoo. Below are pics from this weekend. Stay tuned - Olivia's birthday is 5-29 and the party is 5-30. I'm sure we will have a monster blog next week!
Wanna see Mia's first swimsuit? Check it out! She and Tony Coordinated!

Olivia's fabulous rainbow striped swimsuit.

Mia at the zoo...she really enjoyed all the sites and sounds and new sensory input!

Olivia rockin' the tinkerbell hat.

Kangaroo. Olivia pointed out to me that they carry their babies in pouches. I did not know that! :-) Just kidding!

Olivia checking out the deer.

A White Lipped Deer. So....why do we have deer in the zoo? Is this area not their natural habitat?

Mia outside the Ape House.

Olivia inside the Ape House.

This gorilla was just chillin' pickin' it's nose with it's pinky and eating it. I made Olivia watch to prove to her how gross it is to pick your nose. I don't think she believes me.

Olivia and our Zebra friends.

Mia fell asleep...

...and then found her thumb.

Olivia posing by the fish in the Hippo Tank at the RainForest House.

Mia and Derrick.

So...after we left this place, we found that it was raining. We had to traverse the entire zoo to get back to our car. We stopped to see the polar bears, but apparently, they did not like the rain and would not come out. Needless to say, this ended in us being soaked in the car, driving home. We hope that you all had as fun a Memorial Day weekend as we did!
