iPPP...

I need to rage for a minute.  A rage against Instagram.  Yes - I'm upset that they have decided to change terms on us.  But, I have a more serious problem. My problem is that every time I post a picture, I put a caption on it.  But, I refresh my feed, and the caption disappears!  If I share to FB, or Twitter, caption shows up in FB or Twitter - but not Instagram!  Now, it looks like I post these random pics, with no explanation or anything.  Second, I have the same problem with comments.  I comment on your pictures.  I respond to the comments on my pictures.  But once again, I refresh my feed, and the comments disappear.  This is aggravating to a point that I tried to get help.  The help in Instagram will not let you contact anyone.  I tried to report a problem.  But, my problem is not in their list.  So then, I googled how to report an issue on Instagram.  I was able to submit something via Facebook.  I was supposed to get an email back.  Nothing.  I have no idea if they received my report or not.  If they have, I'm even more angry because I haven't heard back, and I still can't post a comment or caption.

I'm weighing my options as to whether or not to keep my account.  I like Instagram.  I love the community and getting to see other wonderful photographers.  And even though this is a free service, it would be nice to get some service.  I know that the terms of service/privacy policy go into effect on January 19.  This gives me about 10 days to determine if it's worth keeping this account or not.

P.s. I love anyone that likes one of my pics, and if you have left a comment, I responded, I swear!

Ok.
Rant over. (for now *shakes fist - vehemently!)

Since this is the first iPPP of the new year, I thought I would take a minute to show you some pictures of my kids.  One from last year, one recent.  It's kind of fun to see how they've grown and changed this year.  Olivia's has come more into herself.  She's gained some independence and confidence.  She is funny and wickedly smart.  Mia is still cuddly and needs that assurance that she's loved.  Sometimes, I think she is vocal about her love to make sure that her sister hears her.  She's crafty that way.

Mia

Here's Mia, working hard on coloring.  Something she couldn't care less about a year ago.
And because I love this picture, for the shoes, for the lighting, and I don't care how fat my legs look.

Linking up with the cool people, Gfunkified and Mamamash.

  1. Cool pictures!
I am not on Instagram, since it does not work for the BlackBerry...
Have you tried a different browser? I had a problem for a while with Tumblr and ended up switching from Explorer to Firefox and it's all good now...

    1. Honestly, I'd try that if I new how. Instagram is an app on my phone, and I'm not sure how to set up which browser it uses. Good idea, though! Thanks for the pic compliment!

  2. I loved your pics this past week!!
And maybe you had a bug? I would delete the app and try to reinstall????
I am kind of in limbo about what to do. I dislike the TOS myself- so not sure where to go. I am InstaHomeles. I am hoping Greta can advise me. lol!

    1. Thanks! I commented on at least one of your pics this week. I have tried to delete and reinstall, didn't help. Thanks for the advice, though! And about the TOS - the thing that's bugging me is that they haven't changed it yet. They say they plan to, but haven't done it yet.

  3. The shoe shot is awesome. And your babes are gorgeous. Love the homework pic. I left Instagram but I was big into it anyway and found a phone app that I love more so it wasn't a bigf deal to delete my Instagram.

    1. Thanks! What phone app did you try? My favorite thing about Instagram is the community, which I haven't seen in any other apps just yet.

  4. Lovely children! And those shoes look painful but I'm glad you're brave enough to wear them!

I deleted Instagram when all the hoopla started. I actually don't miss it! Ha!

    1. The shoes are less painful than they look. :) thanks! One less thing to look at might be a very good less thing....

  5. I love that list pic, too! Great capture! And your girls are just too cute.

I'm wondering if you have a bad update on your phone. What kind of phone do you have? Every once in a while, my caption will disappear, too, but not every time. I love IG so much, I won't delete it. But, I definitely get your frustrations!! I agree that maybe you should try deleting and reinstalling, or wait for an update that might help. I'm not worried about the TOS...I think it's like a lot of things, with more hype and speculation than actual changes. :)

    1. Thanks! I have an iPhone4S. I've tried to delete the app and reinstall with no luck. I've reported the bug via Facebook and Twitter, still no response. We'll see what happens. I really do like IG, but this has been going on for about a month now.

  7. Cool shoes (your legs aren't fat). Weird Instagram issues? I haven't had the same happen, but I haven't been instagramming as much lately either.

I love to look at kid pictures a year apart like this - it's easier to see how they've grown that way. Yours are cute!

  8. Any shaved-leg day is a good leg day in this house *grin*... Darling, darling pics of the kiddos!! I can't wait for the coloring phase to kick in here, 'cause I can DO some coloring. Wish I could help on the Instagram, but I missed that boat entirely *blush*...
